Traci Husslein Named Capital Markets SVP At Waterstone Mortgage
Traci brings 30 years of industry experience to new role
Waterstone Mortgage announced the promotion of Traci Husslein to Senior Vice President (SVP) of Capital Markets, increasing her leadership role on the executive team.
With nearly three decades of experience in the mortgage industry, Husslein is a Waterstone Mortgage veteran, having joined the company as VP of Capital Markets in 2014.
Husslein spearheaded the creation of the capital markets department at Waterstone, achieving a critical milestone by transitioning the company’s hedging function from vendor-managed to an in-house process.
According to a press release announcing Husslein's promotion, this strategic shift eliminated financial losses and led to significant improvements in rate pricing — a legacy that continues to benefit the organization today.
“I enjoy the challenge of navigating through the various market conditions we’ve experienced in the industry," Husslein shared in the press release. "Through it all, I’ve appreciated working with talented individuals who have helped to guide the changes needed to ensure we can continue to fulfill the dream of homeownership.”
Beyond financial strategy, Husslein has been instrumental in driving employee training, optimizing processes, and cultivating valuable vendor relationships.
“We are excited to welcome Traci to our executive team," Waterstone Mortgage President & CEO Jeff McGuiness said. "Her extensive experience overseeing the Capital Markets team, combined with her strong finance background, has been a tremendous asset to our organization. Traci’s ability to deliver valuable insights into market performance and bottom-line results has made a lasting impact, and we are confident she will continue to drive success in this new role.”
