Argent teams with Ameriquest and Rahal Letterman Racing for expansion: More jobs for Illinois, new entry in Indy Racing Leaguemortgagepress.comArgent, Ameriquest, Rahal, Schaumburg, mortgage servicing operations Ameriquest Mortgage Company and Argent Mortgage Company LLC have joined Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich in announcing plans for a major expansion of its mortgage servicing operations in Illinois that will create 2,100 new jobs in the Schaumburg, Ill. area over the next three years. At a press conference on Nov. 17 announcing the expansion, Gov. Blagojevich and Adam Bass, senior executive vice president of Ameriquest Mortgage Company, said Ameriquest and Argent will be subleasing the entire 11-story, 300,000-sq.-ft. Windy Point II office building at Windy Point of Schaumburg. Bass said the 2,100 new jobs created by the servicing center will come on line incrementally over the next three years, and will include a range of management and mortgage servicing operations positions. Ameriquest will provide 1,500 of the anticipated new jobs, with Argent Mortgage creating 600 new positions. The company plans to move into its new facility at Windy Point II in January. Windy Point II is part of the Windy Point of Schaumburg professional office campus located at 1500-1600 McConnor Parkway. Ameriquest has been doing business in Illinois since 1995, and Argent opened its loan origination center in Rolling Meadows, Ill. in July 2002. Ameriquest operates 10 branch offices located in Burr Ridge, Oak Brook, Orland Park, Hoffman Estates, Vernon Hills, Naperville, Chicago, Skokie, Westchester and Schaumburg. "Ameriquest chose to expand in Illinois because of the state's growing economy, the presence of a large skilled workforce and its business-friendly environment," said Bass. "We look forward to a long-term partnership with the state and the Schaumburg community." In other news, Argent has decided to increase its sponsorship with Rahal Letterman Racing, which enjoyed a successful 2004 season in the IndyCar Series with Buddy Rice. Along with co-primary sponsor Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc., Argent has added a second Honda-powered entry for 2005, which will be driven by rising open-wheel star Danica Patrick. Argent Mortgage entered the motorsports arena in 2003 with a successful campaign that included sponsorship of Rahal Letterman Racings Toyota Atlantic car driven by Patrick as well as various race event sponsorships. Argent also served as the primary sponsor on the second Rahal Letterman Indy 500 entry in 2003 driven by past open-wheel champion Jimmy Vasser. The Argent/Pioneer cars of Rice and Patrick will combine with the car of Vitor Meira to give Rahal Letterman Racing its first full-season, three-car program.
