NAMB gears up for looming HUD RESPA proposal

Pastor's promotion to vice president and counsel, Government Affairs. "Nikki is an incredible asset and her depth of knowledge on mortgage issues has helped NAMB raise the bar in our government relations efforts during the past several years," said NAMB Executive Vice President Roy DeLoach. "We are delighted she will continue to help NAMB shape the public policy debate on behalf of mortgage brokers and the customers and communities they serve. I congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition." In her new role, Pastor will manage the association's federal and state legislative and regulatory efforts and represent NAMB's interests before regulatory agencies and Congress. Pastor previously served as senior counsel, public policy and government affairs. She joined the organization as regulatory counsel in 2005. Prior to joining NAMB, Pastor was an associate for Goodwin Procter LLP's consumer financial services group in Washington, D.C. There, she counseled clients in mortgage and consumer lending law compliance. Pastor graduated summa cum laude from the Washington College of Law at American University and holds bachelors degrees in business administration and international relations from Boston University.
