Michigan adopts LO registration requirementsMortgagePress.comMichigan, loan officers, Jennifer Granholm, Michigan Office of Financial and Insurance Services Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm signed a package of mortgage loan officer registration bills into effect last week. The legislative package requires loan officers to register with the state, establishes notice and compensation requirements, and creates a set of prohibited acts and practices for the group. The legislation became effective on April 2, 2008. Loan officers must register with the Michigan Office of Financial and Insurance Services by January 1, 2009.
