The event featured a welcome reception, tour of the facility and donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Troy. David Peskin, CEO of World Alliance Financial, provided an introduction to the event, speaking about the community and the significance of the growth at the Troy-based national sales office. Honored guest speakers included Jennifer M. Granholm, governor of Michigan; Louise E. Shilling, mayor of Troy, Mich.; and Doug Smith, Oakland County director of economic development and community affairs. Additional speakers included members of the company's sales team who discussed the local Michigan job market and their experience with World Alliance Financial. "During a time when mortgage companies are struggling and shutting their doors, World Alliance Financial continues its growth. Our national sales office in Michigan will support the growth in the reverse mortgage market," said Peskin. "We have already created over 120 new jobs in the area and we plan to encourage young people to remain in Troy through the creation of additional jobs and by recruiting local talent. We also plan to continue contributing to the community in many other ways."
