Allstate Mortgage announces formation of reverse mortgage divisionMortgagePress.comAllstate Mortgage and Loan Corporation, reverse mortgage, Bobby Gentry, Jim McDermott, FHA, FAMB, FAMB West Coast Chapter Jim McDermott, president of Clearwater, Fla.-based Allstate Mortgage & Loan Corporation, has announced the formation of its Reverse Mortgage Center, working with non-FHA brokers who want to increase their business and tap into the growing reverse mortgage market. Allstate is licensed in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Connecticut, with the ability to transact FHA-reverse mortgages in Florida, Georgia and Alabama. Pending are the states of Illinois, Arkansas Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi and South Carolina. Heading up the new nationwide program is Bobby Gentry, well-known in the reverse mortgage industry and through his involvement with the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers and the National Association of Mortgage Brokers. He is the past president of the West Coast Chapter of FAMB, serves on the West Coast Chapter Board of Directors, servers on the FAMB Statewide Board of Directors and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Political Action Committee. Bobby brings more than seven years of reverse mortgage experience as a broker, originator, trainer and manager in both the retail and wholesale sides to Allstate.
