World Alliance Financial Corporation announced that on April 26,
the company joined together with Christmas in Action of Oakland
County to help improve the lives of senior citizens.
Christmas in Action is an organization dedicated to completing
free home repairs for low-income, senior homeowners allowing them
to continue living safely and comfortably in their homes. The
repairs take place on the last Saturday of each April through the
organization's volunteer program.
Employees from World Alliance Financial contributed a full day
working on the home of a senior in need. Jobs on the worksite
varied from repairing a roof, laying new carpet, installing new
kitchen cabinets, sinks and counter tops and painting the interior
and exterior of the home. One volunteer was also able to donate a
mattress and box spring to a homeowner who needed it.
"We are pleased to have the opportunity to partner with
Christmas in Action and to do such good work in the community,"
stated David Peskin, chief executive officer of World Alliance
Financial. "Helping seniors in need is our mission and our
employees are engaged with local seniors in so many positive ways.
We are lucky to have a work force that is so driven toward helping
others."
"World Alliance Financial and Christmas in Action are a natural
fit," said Norma Okonski, director of media and public relations
for Christmas in Action. "We are so thrilled to have them on-board
this year."
