(PMI), announced the launch of PMI Training Bootcamp, an online training Web site for customers that significantly extends the reach and resources of PMI's training department. PMI can now provide customers with educational information about PMI's products and services, without increasing headcount or incurring the operational costs of trainer fees and travel. With the launch of PMI Training Bootcamp at, the company now delivers the majority of its training modules online via both Webinar and on-demand, and is one of the only mortgage insurers to offer an on-demand option. These training programs enable PMI to reach more customers with educational information about PMI, and to book more high-quality business, while effectively managing expenses; two key components of PMI's five-point plan to return to profitability. "Leveraging new on-demand technology is especially efficient for both PMI and our customers," said Felipe Obando, PMI's director of marketing. "Customers can easily carve out the five to 15 minutes these top-line courses take, repeat a course, or work through our entire curriculum at their own pace. On-demand is essentially a self-help platform." Over the long-term, both on-demand and Webinar technologies provide PMI the scalability to reach wider audiences and the flexibility to cost-efficiently add or alter courses in response to changes in market conditions.
