MDA Lending Solutions, a subsidiary of Vancouver, British
Columbia-based MacDonald Dettwiler and Associates (MDA), has named
John Walsh as the new President of its MDA DataQuick division.
Walsh is tasked with managing the day-to-day operations of the
company, which monitors real estate activity nationwide and
provides information to consumers, educational institutions, public
agencies, lending institutions, title companies and industry
analysts.
"MDA DataQuick boasts a long, distinguished track record of
proven success for its customers, and I am excited to have the
opportunity to contribute to growing what is already a premier
brand within the industry," said Walsh. "I believe that the
combination of DataQuick's experience in software development, data
management and analytics and MDA's diverse product line puts us in
a unique position within the marketplace to help lenders, real
estate professionals and title agents effectively manage real
estate values and the growing number of foreclosures that typify
today's volatile lending environment. The industry needs more cost
effective, efficient and objective alternatives to their current
processes, and we are well positioned to meet their needs."
Walsh has more than 20 years of proven experience within the
mortgage and technology industries and most recently served as
president of San Diego-based Del Mar Database (now Del Mar
DataTrac), the leading provider of technology solutions to
residential lenders. Previously, Walsh was the president of
Oakland, Calif.-based RF/Spectrum Decision Science Corp. and
chairman and CEO of Burlingame, Calif.-based PureCarbon, Inc. (now
Workstream, Inc.).
Additionally, Walsh held senior management positions at Woodland
Hills, Calif.-based Weyerhaeuser Mortgage, Seattle, Wash.-based
SeaFirst Bank and Oakland, Calif.-based All Pacific Mortgage. He
earned a bachelor's degree from California Lutheran College,
graduating summa cum laude and holds a master's degree in business
administration.
