Avista marks ninth year in business with a record number of new customers

May 10, 2010

Avista Solutions, a provider of Web-based, end-to-end mortgage loan origination software (LOS), has added a record number of new customers, 23, in the past six months. This accomplishment took place just a month after the company reached its ninth anniversary. The new Avista Agile Loan Origination System (LOS) customers include 14 community banks with $8.63 billion in assets ranging in size from $89 million to $3.09 billion, three credit unions with $5.08 billion in assets ranging in size from $63 million to $4.54 billion and six independent mortgage bankers based out of 19 different states. With an expanded pool of customers, Avista Solutions’ LOS now has over 61,000 active users nationwide. “The growth we experienced in 2009 was a record in itself,” said Avista Solutions Chief Executive Officer Mark Phlieger. “However, the rapid rate at which we’ve added new customers in the past six months was really exceptional. As the market continues to present challenges to lenders, they’re seeking an agile, low-maintenance, cost-effective, convenient technology solution, and more and more lenders have discovered that Avista Solutions meets their needs.” Since celebrating its eighth anniversary in March 2009, the Avista Solutions staff has placed a special emphasis on serving its customers by implementing new functionality and providing a heightened level of customer service. Avista recently unveiled new consumer direct website functionality, which allows lenders to control a wide range of consumer direct site features directly from their B2B administrative Web site. Additionally, new Avista Solutions Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer Jerry White, who formerly served as a chief financial officer at Metavante Banking Solutions, has introduced the effective customer service tactics he’s learned over the years to Avista. “We’ve been putting better, more streamlined communication efforts in place with our customers and instilling the confidence that their needs will be met,” White said. “We’re offering our customers different lines of communication, paying attention to detail and focusing on new sales.” Avista Solutions has reached many milestones since signing on its first customer in 2001, among them processing more than 100,000 loan applications in one month, creating Avista Eagle AUS integrated to FHA TOTAL Scorecard, and being chosen by the Lenders One consortium as its first LOS provider. As Avista Solutions approaches its landmark 10th anniversary, the company expects its rapid customer growth rate to continue to accelerate as its staff focuses on driving new sales, introducing new system features and offering the best customer service the industry has to offer.
