MortgageDashboard names Rene F. Rodriguez new CEO

May 27, 2010

A lot of companies in the middle of transformation and reinvention often call upon the skills and resources of outside consultants to propel them from where they were to where they want to go… Mortgage Dashboard made theirs chief executive officer. The Dallas-based loan origination software (LOS) company has named corporate business strategist and acclaimed speaker and trainer Rene F. Rodriguez as chief executive officer as the company enters its next incarnation backed by new investors and next generation of cutting-edge technology. Rodriguez takes over for investor and interim Chief Executive Officer Bryan Harlan who organized the group fueling MortgageDashboard's future. "Rene's unique blend of experience in corporate training and human behavior combined with his lending knowledge has earned him the type of respect that positions him perfectly to help usher in the next chapter for the mortgage industry with a revolutionary product," said long-time originator and speaking colleague Jim McMahan. Rodriguez was particularly intrigued with the opportunity to lead a business whose customers stepped in with resources to reorganize it because they deemed its product and service too valuable to lose. "I'm still pinching myself ... I get to go to a marketplace that's clamoring for cost-efficiency, better service and ease of use with a product that provides exactly what lenders are asking for," said Rodriguez. "And, I get to deepen my relationship with the mortgage industry in ways that help make their businesses more successful beyond the speaking and training I do." Rodriguez begins his tenure as Mortgage Dashboard is reborn with an investment infusion and new structure after stalling in conditions that have plagued all aspects of mortgage and related industries in the last few years. Senior Partner Stewart Hunter regards the company's past as a time when its technology was so advanced, they simply lacked resources to blaze trails aggressively. Energized by Catalizador Private Equity Group, Hunter believes Mortgage Dashboard will realize it's potential under Rodriguez' leadership: "We didn't hire a speaker, we hired a leader with a proven track record of helping organizations succeed. We needed someone with his considerable knowledge, depth and passion to lead a world-class company. Rene will continue teaching and speaking to help Mortgage Dashboard clients get to the next level," Hunter said. Mortgage Dashboard is headquartered in Dallas, Texas and serves mortgage companies nationwide providing loan origination software (LOS) in the 'software-as-a-service' (SAAS) model.
