Mount Vernon Mortgage adds reverse mortgage manager Robert Tranchell

Mount Vernon Mortgage Corporation has announced the hiring of Robert Tranchell as reverse mortgage manager. Tranchell will oversee Mount Vernon’s newly-expanded reverse mortgage division. Tranchell comes to Mount Vernon with almost a decade of experience in reverse mortgage lending, working directly with homeowners, as well as developing educational programs for homeowners and those who work with them.
“Reverse mortgages are growing in popularity for homeowners over the age of 62,” said Robert Petrelli, president of Mount Vernon Mortgage Corporation, “but it’s a loan program that requires a unique kind of attention to ensure that the homeowner’s needs are properly met, so we made the commitment to expand the division to best serve our clients. Bob Tranchell has a wealth of experience with reverse mortgages and embodies the high ethical standard we demand from our employees. He was the natural choice to take the lead and we are pleased to have him on board.”
Throughout Tranchell’s professional career—18 years of which were spent in the ministry, both here and abroad in third world countries—he has focused on making a difference in the lives of those with whom he has come in contact. His transition into reverse mortgages allowed him to continue to serve people by meeting the unique financial needs of many senior homeowners.
“I have a passion for my work because I have seen time and time again how home equity management allows my clients the quality of life, security, and stability they deserve,” said Tranchell.
Through listening, learning, and educating, he is able to provide his clients with the tools they need to make the decisions that are right for them and their families.
Bob and his wife, Laurie, live in Falmouth, Mass. with their three children; he has been involved with the Falmouth Choral Boosters, Falmouth Chamber of Commerce, and remains active in the ministry. He finds great joy in watching his children’s musical performances and cheering them on in their many athletic endeavors.
