“George’s combination of technical knowledge, industry experience, and deep relationships across the reverse lending community makes him an exceptional addition to the NRMLA Board,” said Pedro Garcia, CEO of Mortgage Cadence. “He has championed innovation, standardization, and responsible lending throughout his career, and we are proud to see him representing Mortgage Cadence at the highest leadership level of the industry.”
Morales currently serves as Chair of MISMO’s Reverse Mortgage Workgroup, where he helped lead the development of the industry’s first standardized reverse mortgage data set.
“It’s a tremendous honor to join NRMLA’s Board of Directors,” Morales said.“Reverse mortgages are entering a new era of modernization, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help guide our industry forward. Together, we can broaden market access, strengthen consumer protections, and encourage technology innovation that makes reverse lending more efficient, transparent, and mainstream.”
As a member of the NRMLA Board, Morales will help advocate for policy enhancements, ethical standards, and technology improvements that support older homeowners. His experience driving LOS modernization at Mortgage Cadence will contribute to NRMLA’s efforts to expand product awareness, elevate operational consistency, and reinforce responsible lending practices across the industry.
