Steve Brunworth Joins Mortgage Builder as Western Region Sales Manager

Feb 17, 2011

Mortgage Builder Software, a provider of loan origination software (LOS) technology for the mortgage industry, has named mortgage technology veteran Steve Brunworth to manage its sales effort for the western region of the company. In his new capacity, Brunworth will work with prospective and existing clients throughout the plains, mountain and western states as Mortgage Builder continues to grow at a record pace. Brunworth has 20 years of experience in sales, including 14 years in the mortgage industry, where he began as a retail loan officer and later moved into the mortgage technology sector. Brunworth joined Mortgage Builder from LoanSifter, a provider of pricing and product eligibility technology, and spent several years with PCLender, managing sales in the central United States region for the LOS company. Prior, he worked for several technology firms and in consulting and software sales, and spent three years with First Financial Equities’ mortgage division as a wholesale lending specialist and software systems analyst. “We’ve always been known for the lending expertise of our client-facing professionals,” says Bill Mitchell, Mortgage Builder’s vice president of sales. “Steve Brunworth brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of mortgage technology to our sales effort in the western territory.” Mitchell notes that Mortgage Builder is coming off its third consecutive year of record growth and expects 2011 to bring many more clients to the software provider as the lending environment becomes more complex and competitive. “In today’s market, lenders are doing everything possible to maximize efficiency and squeeze as much as they can out of each technology dollar,” said Mitchell. “Mortgage Builder focuses on providing flexible alternatives to large software investments, with ‘cloud’ delivery and licensing options, and offers sophistication that rivals the systems of even the largest banks. Steve is a valuable resource to work with lenders as they examine the choices available to help them originate loans smoothly and provide highly positive borrower experiences in the process.” “Mortgage Builder is among the highest rated companies for ease of use and rock-solid reliability,” said Brunworth. “Implementations and ongoing technical support are tremendously important when working with prospective clients. The Mortgage Builder team is known for delivering on its commitments and that’s the team I wanted to become a part of.” Brunworth will be based in Mortgage Builder’s new office in Dallas, where he attended the University of Texas.
