Philly Based Bank Launches New Residential Mortgage Lending Unit

Aug 09, 2011

Hyperion Bank has named Jeffery C. Schneider as head of the company's newly-formed residential mortgage lending department. Schneider, the former managing member of Moorestown Real Estate LLC d/b/a The Mortgage Group, brings nearly 20 years of mortgage broker experience to his new role. Joining the Hyperion Bank staff are five other full-time employees from the former Mortgage Group. “Given the current regulatory environment and Hyperion Bank’s desire to expand their portfolio with residential mortgage lending, it was a marriage made in heaven,” said Schneider. “I’ve known Jeff for many years and have the utmost respect for him, both personally and professionally," said Hyperion Bank President Joe Matisoff. "With all that has gone on lately in the mortgage banking area we wanted to fill the void in our local market, but were determined to do so only if we could align ourselves with professionals who, like us, put service to the customer and a sterling reputation above all else.”
