Stearns Lending Appoints John Krantz SVP-Controller

Stearns Lending Inc. has announced the appointment of John Krantz as the company’s senior vice president–controller, where he will be responsible for management and financial reporting for the combined retail, wholesale and correspondent production channels. “We are extremely pleased to welcome John Krantz to Stearns Lending. In addition to his wealth of expertise in corporate finance and business development at both private and publicly-held organizations, John has more than a decade of experience in all aspects of finance, reporting and administration related to mortgage banking across multiple business lines. His contributions will further enhance the strong capabilities of the Company’s financial management team,” said Gary B. Fabian, CFO of Stearns Lending. Krantz most recently served as vice president–controller at Impac Mortgage Holdings Inc., where he was responsible for financial statement close processes, management of the accounting and finance functions, coordination of year-end audit for timeliness of reporting and compliance with GAAP, as well as other regulatory requirements at the publicly held mortgage bank. He previously held several senior executive positions at the Home Lending Division of IndyMac Bank, FSB. Earlier in his career, Krantz served as chief financial officer at several firms, including TD Service Financial Corporation, a provider of technology solutions to the mortgage banking industry.
