GSF Mortgage Corporation has added long-time mortgage professional Mike Morrison to the firm's Raleigh, N.C. branch. Morrison graduated from the North Carolina State University with a degree in business and a minor in computer sciences. Following college, he worked as a software analyst. On the side, Morrison was introduced to the buying and selling of real estate, which would eventually lead him down a path to the mortgage industry. Morrison has been in the mortgage industry for over 23 years, beginning in the late 1980s. Starting off as a real estate developer, Morrison decided not to keep all of his eggs in one basket, so he obtained his license in real estate in the mid-1990s due to the strong relationships he developed with his borrowers. This also allowed him to capitalize on the real estate market and act as a buyer’s agent as well as a way of becoming a “one-stop shop” for his customers. With 23-plus years of business experience, his philosophy on customer service has always been the same—without his customers, he has no business. Therefore, he has continuously strived to always put his customers first, to make their loan process as easy as possible and to make each customer feel as though they are his only customer. He instills this philosophy in those around him as well. He understands the loan process is a team effort and can be difficult to maneuver through. That is why he believes that with a service driven mortgage team, GSF Mortgage keeps themselves ahead of the competition.
