Alan Fields has joined WFG National Title Insurance Company to serve as its national agency counsel. WFG National Title is a full-service provider of title insurance and real estate settlement services for commercial and residential transactions nationwide. In his position with WFG National Title, Fields will be an underwriting and legal resource for the company’s national title agencies. He will also contribute to the WFG National Title national and Florida underwriting teams.
Fields comes to WFG with 27 years of legal experience. He was most recently the executive director of the Florida Land Title Association, having taken that position in 2010. Previously, he served as Florida State Counsel for one of the industry’s largest national underwriters. Before that, Fields served as General Counsel and in operational roles for several public and private corporations and in private practice with Dykema Gossett and, before that, Shackleford, Farrior, Stallings & Evans (both in Tampa).
Fields received his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law, where he was Editor in Chief of the school’s Law Review, and his undergraduate degree in Economics from Davidson College.
