Corporation Service Company is calling on all UCC professionals to complete a new survey. Anyone who manages Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) searching and filing transactions under Article 9 is invited to participate by visiting www.uccsurvey.com. CSC's goal with this survey is to assemble the first-ever comprehensive overview of UCC Article 9 best practices and insights. UCC professionals at all levels with lenders, leasing enterprises, factoring organizations and law firms can provide valuable feedback that may finally answer the burning question: What are your peers doing? “People want to know how other companies are managing challenges related to the 2010 Amendments to UCC Article 9,” said Mark Rosser, vice president for Corporation Service Company (CSC). “They want to know how others gauge and mitigate risk with their UCC searching and filing work, where they get their news, where they network … these questions have answers! And we want to help answer them.” “CSC has been the industry leader in the UCC Article 9 space since states began to adopt the Uniform Commercial Code,” Rosser said. “Now we want to give something back in the form of research and education. I’m hoping that every UCC professional we reach will take a few moments to answer this survey and forward it to their colleagues. We’re confident that we will be able to provide some really interesting insights with the data we collect.” The survey takes less than 15 minutes to complete, and all respondents will be entered in a random drawing for one of four tablets: the Amazon Kindle Fire, the Apple iPad, the Google Nexus, and the Samsung Galaxy. Partial survey results will be released at the end of this year, but only survey participants will receive exclusive access to the full results.
