Envoy Hires Massella As EVP

Envoy Mortgage announced it has hired Michael Massella for the position of executive vice president of retail lending. Massella has over 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry, running production efforts for several large national companies. He is directly responsible for managing the operations and production for Envoy’s growing retail branch network across the country and is based in the Houston home office. Massella joins Envoy from Caliber Funding, where he was senior vice president of wholesale lending. Prior, he was senior vice president for production at First Savings Mortgage, and president of production for Aegis Mortgage Corporation, running all aspects of production and operations for more than 100 wholesale and retail locations across the nation. Before joining Aegis, he was senior vice president for retail and wholesale production for Fleet Mortgage Corporation, where he directed the activities of over 600 origination and production staff members. “Mike Massella is an outstanding mortgage professional and the perfect choice to lead Envoy’s Retail Lending Division as we continue to expand and grow our footprint across the nation,” said Envoy CEO, Rick Thompson. “He is renowned for his experience, success and leadership skills with very successful organizations, and is a great addition to our senior executive team.” As part of its growth during 2013, Envoy established a national builder division, a servicing operation and Envoy CLD, its correspondent lending division based in Monroe, Louisiana. “I am very pleased to join Envoy during this historic growth phase, working with its executives and impressive retail branch network,” said Massella. “The company has been known for its forward thinking ever since its founding in 1997, and Envoy’s technology is second to none in the industry,” he noted. “The company is extremely well positioned to offer great borrower experiences and excellent opportunities for retail lending talent as we continue to grow.”
