Generation Mortgage Company (GMC) has announced the addition of a new Texas sales team to its growing retail sales division. Led by Branch Manager Forrest Lowry, the team currently includes seven loan officers, who bring a combined 60 years of HECM experience to GMC.
“Because Texas is the second-largest market for conversion mortgages in the country, it is a specific area of focus for Generation Mortgage’s new retail sales division,” said GMC Chief Sales Officer Cheryl MacNally. “Consequently, we took special care to ensure our local retail operations included HECM industry veterans that have proven success in this important market. We continue to view Texas as an opportunity for ongoing growth and are excited at the response to our team’s initial efforts.”
As GMC’s Texas branch manager, Lowry reports to Western Regional Retail Sales Manager Alicia Hahn and oversees all of the company’s loan offices in the state. Prior to joining GMC, he served as branch manager for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage’s reverse mortgage division for seven years. During this time, he built a team of reverse mortgage consultants throughout south and west Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. He later managed the company’s south Texas area and saw it grow to become Wells Fargo’s most profitable reverse mortgage branch in the state. Since 2011, he has held the positions of reverse mortgage loan officer at Network Funding and builder mortgage loan officer at Bank of America.
In addition to Lowry, GMC’s Texas sales organization consists of seven loan officers, who are each responsible for a specific area of the state:
Gary Bauch’s years with Bank of America and Wells Fargo have prepared him to support GMC customers in Houston and a nearby community called The Woodlands. His experience includes more than four decades in mortgage lending, with nine years specifically in the HECM category.
Nicholas Gamboa, who has eight years of HECM industry experience with Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Van Dyk Mortgage and Cross Country Mortgage, covers the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Homeowners in Houston and Corpus Christi, Texas, may contact Jena Gilliland regarding their HECM needs. Before working with GMC, her career included time with 1st Reverse Mortgage U.S.A. and MetLife as well as nine years with Wells Fargo, where she was the top HECM producer in Texas.
Lisa Parker-Hamilton’s passion for the HECM industry began in 2001 and continued throughout her nine years with Wells Fargo. At GMC, she supports the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and east Texas.
Rodney Rogers, who spent the last 14 years with several brands including Michigan Reverse Mortgage, Bank of America and Van Dyk Mortgage, also services the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
With 35 years of real estate and mortgage experience, Nancy Starr works with homeowners in San Marcos, Texas, and the south-central area of the state known as the Hill Country.
San Antonio residents interested in HECM products should contact Tim Thompson, whose 42-year career as a mortgage banker includes years with Wells Fargo, Broad Street Mortgage Co. and Community National Mortgage Corporation.
“Our retail sales organization features some of the finest HECM professionals in the industry,” said MacNally. “Given the past accomplishments achieved by our Texas team members, we believe GMC is poised to have a significant impact in the Lone Star State.”
