GSF Mortgage has announced the addition of two new mortgage loan originators to their Brookfield, Wis. location, as Hannah Goreta and Lourdes Marquez will be working under Andy Newman, branch manager.
Goreta is a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She started with GSF Mortgage in 2009 as an administrative assistant, moved to account executive and eventually transitioned to a loan officer. Goreta enjoys meeting new people. She is a part of the Brookfield Chamber of Commerce, Greater Milwaukee Association of Realtors and attends Wisconsin Realtor Association events.
“You have to get out there and do something to earn your business; it won’t fall into your lap,” said Goreta.
Marquez is originally from Mexico. She came to the United States when she was 15 years old, not knowing any English. Today, after hard work and dedication, she is fluent in both Spanish and English. She started in the mortgage industry as a receptionist and transitioned into a Broker’s Assistant where she found her passion: helping others achieve the American dream of finding the perfect home. Marquez has been with GSF Mortgage for 5 years. She has worked in submissions, underwriting and processing. She plans to reach out to, but not limit herself to the Hispanic community. She believes in educating her customers without overwhelming them in order to help them achieve their dream. Her goal is to have her own branch and team of loan officers in the next year.
“Believe with all of your heart that you will do what you are made to do,” says Marquez.
“We are very excited to have Hannah and Lourdes join our team here in Brookfield. They are entering the next phase of their careers at an exciting time in our industry. We are honored they have chosen to follow their dreams with GSF Mortgage," said Branch Manager Andy Newman.
GSF Mortgage also announced that they have added a second branch in Michigan in Suttons Bay. Martin Siklich will be running the branch and has 18-plus years of experience in origination. He has numerous years of entrepreneurship experience from running his parent’s restaurants. Siklich developed an interest in the industry after speaking with a mortgage expert who said he would be good at it.
Siklich keeps with the basics when it comes to getting his name out in the industry. In 1996, he started out by going in to Realtor’s offices and getting to know them. Today many of his clients are referral based or from word of mouth.
“My name is everything and Realtors trust me,” says Siklich. “Customer service is vital. When people contact me, I respond quickly. If I’m not accessible, I might be missing out on something.”
“Marty brings a grass-roots approach to GSF Mortgage. His deep integration in his community is an excellent model match. He is a welcomed compliment to our sales team,” said National Sales Director Mike Maida.
