Nov 07, 2014

The Bankers Bank has announced its acquisitions of Advance Mortgage Corporation (AMC) and American Processing Services Corporation (APSC), both of Overland Park, Kan. Bruce Howard and Jim Wilson will remain co-presidents of AMC, now re-named “Bankers Mortgage Corporation” and John Markert will remain president of APSC, now named “American Processing Solutions Corporation” or APS.

“These acquisitions are just the first step in our mission to help community financial institutions succeed in the mortgage business,” said Don Abernathy, CEO of The Bankers Bank.

Founded in 1985, The Bankers Bank serves over 290 community financial institutions in the southwest. The company offers a wide range of correspondent banking products and services designed to help community financial institutions prosper.

“No matter how small the institution, if they want to be involved in the mortgage business, we’ll have a solution that meets their needs,” said Markert. “We see significant increases in hiring and staffing over the new few years as we take full advantage of this unusual opportunity.”
