Christina Baker Named EVP of Operations for Academy Mortgage

Christina Baker has joined Academy Mortgage as executive vice president of Operations, where she will oversee credit, project management, and all field and home office operations. With more than a decade of operations experience, Baker has worked in nearly every job capacity in the mortgage industry, from loan officer to chief operations officer.

Before joining Academy Mortgage, Baker was the vice president of National Operations at First California Mortgage Corporation, and prior to that, chief operations Officer at Mortgage Solutions Financial.

“Christina brings strong, unique, and varied mortgage and military leadership experience to our company,” said James Mac Pherson, president of Academy Mortgage. “She will play a key role in helping our company enhance our policies and procedures as we continue to transform and grow across the United States.”

Before starting her career as a mortgage professional, Baker served as an Adjutant General Officer in the U.S. Army for just over six years. She received her bachelor’s degree from West Point and a master’s degree from Webster University.
