Renovation Lending Expert Thomas Gumb Joins HomeBridge Financial
HomeBridge Financial Services has announced that Thomas Gumb has joined the company in the role of Branch Manager and Mortgage Loan Originator. Gumb is highly regarded for his work in the renovation mortgage space, having built an exceptional reputation from his previous leadership of several high producing renovation lending teams at some of the largest residential mortgage firms in the country. At HomeBridge, Gumb’s primary focus will be continuing to build the company’s profile as a leader in renovation lending, which will include recruiting new associates to join the organization throughout the New York metropolitan Tri-State area.
“Renovation mortgages have incredible potential in the Tri-State area, yet they are a grossly underutilized loan in a housing market that has so much potential,” said Gumb. “These loans can take residential properties that are out-of-date in terms of design or features, and turn them into the perfect, affordable homes for Millennials, first-time buyers, or others who are having a difficult time finding a home in a location that meets all of their needs. HomeBridge’s dedication to renovation lending is well-known throughout the housing industry and I’m excited to help them continue their progressive growth.”
Gumb’s dedication to customer service and mentorship has led to him receiving numerous accolades during his 30-year career. Prior to joining HomeBridge, both Gumb, and the teams he mentored, regularly received top achievement awards for exceeding sales expectations and more importantly, in recognition of their dedication to customer service. While his career in mortgage lending includes a diverse range of roles, his focus on the renovation lending space, and what it can do for Tri-State area home buyers, enables him to thrive by leveraging loan programs overlooked even by some seasoned veterans of the housing industry.
“Tom’s prowess in the renovation mortgage space is well-known throughout the Tri-State housing industry, but his ability to build and mentor teams is what will make him a real asset to HomeBridge,” said Douglas Tarta, Division Vice President for HomeBridge. “Our commitment to providing the highest levels of service to our customers requires that our associates share our vision. It takes skilled leaders, such as Tom, to help us recruit and mentor new HomeBridge associates who are dedicated to providing borrowers with the best possible mortgage solution for their individual needs.”
A native of New York City’s five boroughs, Gumb was raised on Staten Island, where he still resides today. Active in the community, Gumb volunteers with his local Boy Scouts of America council, where both of his sons are Eagle Scouts, and is a Board Member of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry/Home Improvement Contractors of Staten Island, assisting the organization in its drive to raise money for Pediatric Trauma Center of NY, Staten Island Agency for Alzheimer's and Dementia, as well as other cause-driven entities.
