Employees and friends of Mortgage Network Inc. recently participated in the annual Tour de Greenbelt, a popular New England cycling event in support of local land preservation.

Mortgage Network served as a lead sponsor of this year's event, which features 25-mile and 50-mile routes through 11 towns and more than 50 historic properties. Money raised through the event benefits Essex County Greenbelt, Essex County's Land Trust that works with local landowners and communities to protect the region's farmland, wildlife habitat and scenic landscapes. Some of Mortgage Network's 11 volunteers rode in this year's event, while others distributed refreshments and encouragement at the company's water stop.

"The Tour de Greenbelt is one of my favorite local events," said Robert McInnes, Chief Executive Officer of Mortgage Network. "I strongly believe in Greenbelt's mission to improve the region's air and water quality to preserve our local ecosystems for many wildlife and plant species. I'm especially proud of the commitment of our employees who support this event each year."

Senior Loan Officer David Landry, a Mortgage Network volunteer, said, "I attend this event every year. The picturesque landscapes remind me of how beautiful New England really is. I'm honored to be part of a company that supports the community in a variety of ways."
