REMN Wholesale Announces July Webinar Series

Jul 12, 2018
REMN Wholesale has introduced its revamped portal, The Hub, which will provide a central location for partners to submit and manage their pipeline

REMN Wholesale is hosting three Webinars in July created to help Mortgage Loan Originators overcome some of the issues they will be facing in light of predicted rate increases creating a decline in their refinance business. REMN’s three-part July Webinar Series will educate attendees on the latest developments in renovation lending products, highlighted by a detailed overview of the highly anticipated VA Renovation Mortgage product REMN is now offering its customers. The Series will also include interactive courses developed to show attendees how to combat misconceptions about renovation products, along with proven sales strategies that will help Mortgage Brokers and Bankers maintain their pipeline as rates increase and the desirable amount of inventory on the market continues to shrink.

The first Webinar in REMN’s July Series will take place Thursday, July 12 and focuses on their new VA Renovation Loan product. Similar to other renovation mortgage options, VA Renovation Loans help solve the issues created by the lack of desirable inventory in markets across the country, but with the added benefits that make VA loans so appealing to active duty and military veterans. The Webinar will be led by Frank Garay of the National Real Estate Post, and REMN's Renovation Lending Specialist, Damon Richardson, who will give an overview of the product and with guidance on how best to explain its power to the military community.

“As rates climb, which many experts say they will during the next two years, the number of borrowers looking to refinance their mortgages will inevitably decrease. And I’m consistently hearing concerns from colleagues how the lack of desirable and affordable inventory leads to a stagnant market. Renovation loans can solve these issues and turn a local lender from a casual acquaintance into a Realtor’s best friend, but only if they can speak intelligently and explain how these loans work,” said Carl Markman, Director of National Sales for REMN Wholesale.

While the VA Renovation loan is an exciting new product for REMN, by its nature it cannot be leveraged for all borrowers. For those who do not qualify for VA Renovation loans, REMN provides an unparalleled assortment of other renovation mortgage options, coupled with the knowledgebase and support system needed to successfully execute around these products. Participants in REMN’s Winning Sales Strategies in a Rising Rates Environment, taking place on Wednesday, July 18, will receive an in-depth overview from Steve Marshall, one of the most notable experts in renovation lending, who will educate attendees on how to combat the housing market’s affordability crisis and close more loans by promoting renovation lending products.

REMN’s July Webinar Series will come to a close with their HomeStyle Lending Decoded workshop on Tuesday, July 24. While a comparatively lesser-known renovation mortgage product, the HomeStyle mortgage allows for a wider array of buying scenarios, including second homes and investment properties, and is often described as an FHA 203(k) loan for conventional borrowers. This Webinar will also be led by REMN’s Richardson, who will elaborate further on how these and other renovation mortgage products can help strengthen the relationships between brokers and their customers, leading to increased affinity and stronger referral channels.
