Norcom Mortgage Honored as a Top Workplace for Seventh Consecutive Year

For the seventh year in a row, Norcom Mortgage and Insurance has earned the Top Workplace Award, presented by the Hartford Courant

For the seventh year in a row, Norcom Mortgage and Insurance has earned the Top Workplace Award, presented by the Hartford Courant. The mid-sized company placed fourth among companies of the same size, between 150-499 employees. Out of the 60 recognized companies, Norcom received special recognition for Outstanding Managers.

Top Workplace guidelines are determined by a third-party survey through which employees of nominated companies rank their workplace anonymously. The survey allows employees to have their voices heard and provides companies with honest feedback about the atmosphere of the workplace. Winning the award for seven consecutive years speaks to the positive and supportive atmosphere that Norcom fosters and encourages.

In response to the award, sentiments around Norcom match many of the comments heard at the award ceremony, that it’s all about the employees.

Founder and President Phil DeFronzo has never said it better, that he “gets to work with a great group of very talented and funny people.”

Executive Vice President Wes Horbatuck feels that it is the “employees of Norcom that make up our great team to help drive our business to greater heights. It’s always about the team. The team is the engine behind the growth at Norcom, and you can’t be a team unless everybody feels like they’re part of it.”
