HomeStreet EVP Honored With MBA’s Woodward Distinguished Service Award

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) has honored Rich Bennion, Executive Vice President of HomeStreet and HomeStreet Bank with its Andrew D. Woodward Distinguished Service Award. The Award is presented in recognition of
dedication and prominent service to MBA and the mortgage lending industry in a variety of capacities involving both legislative and regulatory activities.

“Rich deserves to be recognized for his exemplary service and commitment to advancing the regulatory and legislative priorities that have made impactful change for MBA members, consumers and the mortgage industry,” said Chris George, 2019 MBA Chairman, and Founder, President and CEO of CMG Financial. “Rich has been a tireless advocate and has made countless contributions to real estate finance. It is an honor to present him with this year’s Andrew D. Woodward Distinguished Service Award.”
Bennion is a graduate of MBA’s School of Mortgage Banking and has served on MBA’s Residential Board of Governors since 2012. Additionally he served as a member of MBA's Board from 2014 to 2017. Rich is also the Past President of the Puget Sound Mortgage Lenders Association and Washington MBA. He is currently Chair of the Washington MBA and also serves as MBA’s State Ambassador for Washington.
The Woodward Distinguished Service Award is the highest honor an individual can receive from his or her fellow MBA members. Nominees for the annual award must meet the following criteria:
►Be associated with an MBA member firm;
►Compile a record of long, sustained and extraordinary service to MBA and the mortgage industry;
►Have a strong reputation for ethical and professional conduct.
