The Mortgage Bankers Association Political Action Committee (MORPAC) has awarded Edgar Bright, CMB, AMP, President of Standard Mortgage Corporation, with the 2018 Schumacher-Bolduc Award. The Award was given to Bright in recognition of his outstanding work on behalf of MBA’s political advocacy programs and the mortgage lending industry.
“Edgar has been an extraordinary champion for MBA’s advocacy programs for many years and has truly stepped up his game recently to help strengthen our important outreach on behalf of the mortgage lending industry,” said Chris George, 2019 MBA Chairman, and Founder, President and CEO of CMG Financial. “I am incredibly honored to recognize Edgar as this year’s winner of the Schumacher-Bolduc Award. He demonstrates the very best in unwavering commitment and leadership to MORPAC and MBA.”
Bright has been a MORPAC advocate and personal contributor for over a decade. He is a regular at MBA’s National Advocacy Conference (NAC) and makes it his duty to involve his peers and colleagues in MBA advocacy. Bright and Standard Mortgage have also been deeply involved with MBA for many decades, with Bright having previously served on MBA’s Board of Directors and Residential Board of Governors (RESBOG).
