David H. Stevens Joins Radian Group Board of Directors

Former Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) President and CEO David H. Stevens has been appointed to the Board of Directors of Radian Group Inc.

Stevens joined the MBA in 2011 after serving as President Obama’s Commissioner of the Federal Housing Administration. The Radian appointment is the second corporate board that Stevens has joined since leaving the MBA in September–in January, he was named to the Board of Dynex Capital Inc., a real estate investment trust.

Also named to Radian’s board is Debra Hess, former Chief Financial Officer of NorthStar Asset Management Group and NorthStar Realty Finance Corp. Stevens and Hess are joining the Radian board as Stephen T. Hopkins, a Director of Radian since 1999, announced his plans to retire following the completion of his current term at the company’s upcoming annual stockholders meeting.
