My Professional Educator Graduates Six for First-Ever Certified Closing Professional Credential
My Professional Educator, an online mortgage industry training school, has announced its first graduating class for the first-ever Certified Closing Professional credential.
The graduates completed 17 course studies with exams, as well as a 75-question final exam to earn the credential. The courses are taught online by industry experts from mortgage, legal, title and government regulation backgrounds. Instructors include Wayne Watkinson, former New Jersey Banking Department official; Peter Stevens, former Deputy Insurance Commissioner in Utah; Pamela Michaels, an attorney with a subsidiary of Stewart Title; Scott Olson, a former staff member to Rep. Barney Frank who assisted in the Dodd-Frank legislation; and others.
The course director, Kenneth Donohue, is a former HUD Inspector General under Presidents Bush and Obama.

More than 70 professionals are currently studying and completing courses to achieve the credential and become part of the second graduating class. The course is currently being reviewed by multiple states to qualify for continuing education credits for the real estate, legal and title industries.
