NAMB to Roll Out New Health Plan for Members

Aug 07, 2019
NAMB has announced that it will host a full-day seminar on Jan. 16 in San Diego for mortgage professionals who are seeking to be approved for the organization’s newest certification, the Certified Veterans Loan Specialist

NAMB has announced that it will begin offering a new health plan for its membership beginning Sept. 1.

The health plan is created in partnership with Pendella, a provider of healthcare solutions, and will provide level funded options down to groups of two employees. The plan’s coverage includes medical insurance, vision and dental plans, income protection, life insurance, business overhead insurance, accident and illness plans, and personal care accounts.

The announcement of the new plan follows NAMB’s recent decision to join the Coalition to Protect and Promote Association Health Plans, a group of trade organizations seeking to provide health coverage to the employees of small employers and independent contractors.

“Since learning of the Association Health Plan initiative released by the White House in 2018, NAMB has been working hard to bring this valuable benefit to its members” said Rick Bettencourt, NAMB president. “This plan allows small businesses, individuals, and sole proprietors the opportunity to come together and share the benefits that only large groups receive today.”

Michael Haffey, managing partner at Pendella, said, “Pendella is a team of seasoned professionals with decades of experience in employee benefits, human resources, benefit administration, and business insurance. We created our company to combine our talents with modern technology, allowing us to provide creative, compassionate, and reliable service and we are thrilled to be working with NAMB on this initiative.”
