Chaya Cashin Zahn, Longtime MBA Registration Officer, Passes Away at 42

Chaya Cashin Zahn, associate director of registration in the Mortgage Bankers Association’s (MBA) Meetings Department, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 9 at the age of 42.

Zahn had been with the trade group since 2003 and was a welcoming presence at the registration table of nearly a dozen MBA meetings every year, including the MBA Annual Convention & Expo.

“Chaya was one of our most recognizable faces,” said MBA President and CEO Robert Broeksmit, CMB. “For more than years, she graced us with her presence, outgoing personality fifteen and amazing smile. Chaya was beloved by her colleagues for her authentic and caring nature, positive outlook, friendliness and incredible laugh. We are heartbroken.”
