ALTA Names Alisa Mairone Director Of Public Affairs and Media Relations
Former BAYADA public affairs leader will oversee media strategy and communications to advance the title industry’s advocacy priorities
The American Land Title Association (ALTA) has appointed Alisa Mairone as its new director of public affairs and media relations, the organization announced March 2.
Mairone joins the national trade association representing the land title insurance industry after nearly a decade at BAYADA Home Health Care, where she served as director of public affairs. In that role, she led the company’s public affairs program and managed external communications for its government affairs team, including media relations, message development, and executive visibility initiatives.
“Alisa’s background and experience make her a strong addition to the ALTA team,” ALTA CEO Chris Morton said in a statement. “She understands how to elevate an industry’s voice, build trust with policymakers, and engage media in a thoughtful, strategic way. We are excited to welcome her as we continue advancing ALTA’s priorities on behalf of our industry.”
During her time at BAYADA, Mairone helped strengthen the organization’s relationships with national and regional media outlets and trained spokespeople for advocacy and media. She also worked to increase the company’s visibility in the press and expand its engagement with policymakers nationwide.
Before joining BAYADA, Mairone worked for the Pennsylvania Apartment Association, where she developed experience in association advocacy, coalition-building and policy communications.
In her new role at ALTA, Mairone will lead efforts to develop proactive media strategies supporting the association’s advocacy agenda. She will work with ALTA leadership and its members to strengthen relationships with national, trade, and policy media outlets, as well as with state and federal associations and coalition partners.
“I’m thrilled to join ALTA and to work alongside an industry that plays such a vital role in protecting property rights, safeguarding homebuyers and homeowners, and promoting a strong real estate market,” Mairone said. “I look forward to helping tell the industry’s story and advancing ALTA’s policy priorities through thoughtful, effective public affairs and media engagement.”
