First American Home Warranty Names Jason Gritters Chief Revenue Officer
The newly created position includes oversight of the company’s real estate business, corporate development, and emerging revenue initiatives.
First American Home Warranty has named Jason Gritters chief revenue officer, placing the home warranty industry veteran in charge of several areas tied to the company’s growth strategy.
In the newly created executive position, Gritters will oversee the company’s real estate business and corporate development function. He will also work to expand strategic partnerships and distribution channels and identify revenue opportunities that complement First American’s core home warranty business.
“Jason brings a unique combination of deep home warranty experience, home services industry expertise, and a strong track record of developing offerings and executing growth strategies,” First American Home Warranty CEO Matt Wendl said.
Wendl said Gritters will help align the company’s real estate organization, corporate development work, and emerging revenue initiatives.
Gritters has more than 10 years of leadership experience in the home warranty and home services industries. He most recently served as vice president of product and corporate development at 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, where he led the real estate business channel, product development, sales operations, enterprise strategy, growth initiatives, and strategic partnerships.
His previous work also included developing brokerage partnerships, customer relationship management strategies, acquisition marketing programs, and go-to-market initiatives serving homeowners and real estate professionals. Earlier in his career, Gritters held positions in finance, product management, business operations, and private equity.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Colorado State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Denver.
First American Home Warranty is a subsidiary of First American Financial Corp. (NYSE: FAF), which provides title, settlement, mortgage subservicing, valuation, data, and other real estate-related services.
The appointment comes as First American’s home warranty business reports modest revenue growth. The segment generated $113.8 million in second-quarter revenue, up 3% from a year earlier, while pretax income increased 9% to $24.2 million, according to the parent company’s latest earnings report.
