“We’re building more than a sales team — we’re building a culture of trust, expertise, and dependability,” stated Marc Halpern, CEO of Foundation Mortgage, in a release. “These four professionals embody that vision and will play a key role in helping brokers succeed in a competitive market.”
Johnny Barrow brings significant mortgage and leadership experience, having held senior sales roles in both retail and wholesale environments. Most recently at Acra Lending, Barrow was the primary point of contact for a large client base and helped strengthen account relationships, according to Foundation Mortgage. He is known for mentorship of sales teams and deep knowledge of Non-QM products.
James Jaochico joins Foundation after quickly establishing himself in the wholesale mortgage space, most recently serving at theLender, which offers mortgage products for purchase, refinance, and investment purposes, including loan options for self-employed individuals and real estate investors.
Jaochico “brings a strong foundation in wholesale lending and a proven ability to solve complex mortgage scenarios with speed and precision,” Foundation noted in a Facebook post. “His background in high-pressure roles — from emergency response to quality control — makes him a natural at delivering the clarity, communication, and follow-through that brokers rely on.”
Sean Ameri brings with him a background in wholesale as well as retail lending. His previous roles at Acra Lending, Better Mortgage, and Athas Capital Group have given him a broader understanding of mortgage programs and regulatory guidelines, Foundation noted. Ameri is known for his consultative approach, responsiveness, and an ability to navigate complex loan scenarios with agility.
Luis Enrique Mota brings to Foundation a record of developing strong broker relationships and providing consistent, solutions-driven support. He “brings over eight years of financial sales experience and a proven track record of building strong broker relationships,” Foundation posted on Facebook.
“From credit unions to mortgage lenders,” Mota has “earned a reputation for persistence, professionalism, and a client-first approach. He’s also fluent in Spanish — another way he helps brokers serve diverse markets with clarity and confidence.”
