Homebridge's Brian White Joins MBA's Diversity, Equity And Inclusion Advisory Committee

Homebridge Financial Services, Inc.'s chief diversity and inclusion officer, Brian White, was asked to joine the Mortgage Bankers Association's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee.

White will serve the MBA's DEI Committee for a two-year term and lend his expertise in helping to implement initiatives to bring about greater diversity and inclusion within the MBA programs and among MBA member firms.
Diversity and equality in the housing industry have become major touchpoints for the housing industry and one long overdue for drastic change. Homebridge launched its Office of Diversity and Inclusion in September 2020 as a public commitment to increase diversity within its own walls and empower underrepresented groups within the larger homebuying population to pursue homeownership opportunities.
Recent events White has been called upon to lend his expertise regarding DEI initiatives include the Mortgage Bankers Association Human Resources Symposium and Housing Finance Strategies' The Diversity Explosion panel discussion, both of which occurred in September.
“The fastest way to affect change regarding DEI efforts is if everyone is on board. By helping lead and promote change among its members, the MBA is showing its commitment to tackling the issues we face in helping to assist communities in pursuing the dream of homeownership or having the opportunity to choose a career path within real estate finance. When we band together, we're more powerful than when we act alone, and I'm honored to join the MBA's DEI Committee on changing our industry for the better,” said White.
Along with striving to promote diversity and inclusion efforts across the greater housing industry, Homebridge knows that change needs to start within. In line with that thinking, Homebridge developed a dedicated section of its website that outlines its diversity efforts and will soon feature regular updates regarding its diversity makeup.
