MBA Taps Christy Soukhamneut To Lead Its Residential Future Leaders Program
Industry vet to take charge of specialized leadership development curriculum designed for emerging executives
MBA Education, the education division of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), has named Christy Soukhamneut, CMB, as head of the MBA’s Residential Future Leaders Program. Soukhamneut will serve as an industry anchor and role model that will support the growth and development of the Residential Future Leaders students.

Soukhamneut will help bring MBA Education’s Residential Future Leaders Program’s leadership curriculum to life, ensuring that the connection is made between fundamental leadership concepts and the business lines that their students serve in. She will be a mentor, guide, and connector who ensures each participant leaves the program better equipped to lead in the mortgage industry.
Soukhamneut has more than 20 years of financial services experience, with a track record of driving transformation, revenue growth, and strategic innovation across the mortgage, banking, credit union, and fintech sectors.
As a consultant with the Stratmor Group, Soukhamneut brings her expertise in digital innovation, governance, and market strategy. Before consulting, she held leadership roles at Texas Capital Bank, Flagstar Bank, Certainty Home Loans, and Bank of America.
Soukhamneut is an active member on the Board of Directors with TRAiNED, Halcyon (advisory board) and the Texas MBA, and previously served on other boards, including MBA of Georgia and Freddie Mac (advisory board). In 2022, she was nationally recognized as the 2022 Exceptional Women Awardee.
