Mortgage veteran will lead recruiting and expansion across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska

New American Funding has promoted Stacy Chevalier to Northwest regional vice president, putting the mortgage industry veteran in charge of the lender’s growth strategy across five states.

Chevalier, who joined New American Funding as an area manager in January, assumed the new position Sept. 1. She will oversee sales growth across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska, with responsibilities including building teams and branches, recruiting mortgage professionals, and identifying new market opportunities.

“My goal isn’t simply to make New American Funding bigger in the Northwest,” Chevalier said. “It’s to build a region where great people want to be.”

Chevalier has more than 26 years of experience spanning retail mortgage banking, builder business, production, recruiting, and sales leadership. Before joining New American Funding, she served as a regional manager at Kind Lending. She previously led teams at Revolution Mortgage and loanDepot.

Earlier in her career, Chevalier led a loanDepot operation covering parts of Washington and Idaho. In 2022, she moved to Revolution Mortgage with a group of loan officers from the lender.

At New American Funding, Chevalier reports within the western retail sales organization overseen by Tony Blodgett, executive vice president of national retail sales–West. Blodgett previously led the lender’s Northwest region before being elevated to oversee its retail sales division.

“Being local to the market and knowing what really matters to loan officers in the Northwest gives her the perfect balance of leadership and knowledge that will propel this region forward,” Blodgett said.

The appointment extends New American Funding’s regional recruiting and expansion strategy. Last year, the company appointed Nathan Ballentine to lead growth in South Carolina, including loan officer recruitment, coaching, and market development.

The Santa Ana, California-based independent mortgage lender says it employs more than 5,200 people and operates over 300 locations nationwide. Its servicing portfolio includes more than 281,000 customers and approximately $73 billion in loans.

New American Funding has also been investing in technology intended to support its national scale. NMP reported in August that the lender is deploying AI voice agents across originations and servicing, following its decision to move to Vesta’s AI-native loan origination system beginning in 2027.
