Author and team-builder brings more than 20 years’ experience to the mega-brokerage

NEXA Mortgage, LLC, the nation’s largest mortgage brokerage, has brought on sales and business-development guru Eric Mitchell, who will help the company ascend to its goal of 5,000 mortgage loan officers.

Mitchell is known “for creating systems that generate growth and building high-performance sales teams that deliver measurable results,” according to NEXA, and is also the author of “The Why of Money,” which aims to teach salespeople of all kinds strategies to succeed and build "limitless" wealth.

He brings more than two decades of experience in origination, marketing, and business development to the mega-brokerage and has “a long-standing reputation as one of the most effective team-builders in the mortgage industry,” the company noted.

“I have always looked for unique value in the marketplace,” Mitchell commented, “and after an exhaustive search for what I feel is most valuable for my strategic partners and clients, NEXA was the only company that checked all the boxes for me.”

“I preach to people that I am not loyal to a company, and that I am loyal to my immediate family first,” he continued. “And to prove that, I need to go to the market and be as valuable as possible, not to be comfortable or stagnant. And to be congruent with my belief, I knew that NEXA was the right fit for me, simply because they have the most value.”

Mitchell’s arrival follows NEXA’s announcement this week of its new strategic partnership with Tidalwave, which will give NEXA’s 3,200 brokers access to Tidalwave’s SOLO agentic AI platform that automates lead qualification and features document processing, underwriting support, multilingual communication, and dual automated underwriting system (AUS) processing.

“Eric’s track record in scaling organizations and empowering loan officers to reach new heights makes him a perfect fit for where NEXA is headed,” stated Jason duPont, chief operating officer at NEXA Mortgage, in a release. “I’ve watched Eric from afar recruit and build some of the most successful teams in the business. It’s an honor to work alongside him and learn from his expertise as we continue our path to 5,000 MLOs.”

“His leadership will directly impact our ability to attract top talent and equip them with the resources to thrive,” duPont added.
