Radian Guaranty adds Camillo Melchiorre as SVP, loss managementMortgagePress.comRadian Guaranty, Camillo Melchiorre, HOPE NOW Alliance Radian Guaranty Inc., the primary mortgage insurance subsidiary of Radian Group Inc., has announced the appointment of Camillo (Cam) T. Melchiorre to the position of senior vice president, loss management. Prior to joining Radian, Melchiorre served as executive vice president of strategic sales for LandAmerica Lender Services, a provider of mortgage servicing products and technology. He was also executive vice president of business development and co-owner of MSTD Inc. of Baltimore, Md., where he played a key role in the development of BackInTheBlack (A HREF="http://www.bitb.net">www.bitb.net), a Web-based residential mortgage default servicing platform. MSTD Inc. was sold to LandAmerica Financial Group in 2006. Melchiorre also held the position of vice president of servicer relations for Freddie Mac in McLean, Va., where he was responsible for the company's servicing policy, industry communications and education and training, as well as 2,500 residential mortgage servicers. Prior to that, Melchiorre served at Radian's predecessor company, Commonwealth Mortgage Assurance Corporation (CMAC), where he managed claims, recovery and quality control teams, started the Loss Mitigation department and helped create a homeownership counseling program. Mr. Melchiorre was also a charter member of the Freddie Mac Servicer Advisory Board representing the mortgage insurance industry, where he helped to develop the Freddie Mac Servicer Performance Profiles, the industrys first such metrics. Recently, Melchiorre was invited to serve as co-chair of the technology committee for the HOPE NOW Alliance, which is the national organization of counselors, mortgage servicers and investors committed to preserving homeownership.
