NRMLA announces the launch of NRMLAPediaMortgagePress.comreverse mortgage, NRMLA, NRMLAPedia, Peter Bell National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association has announced the launch of its NRMLAPedia resource guide designed to enhance lenders' technical knowledge of reverse mortgages. NRMLAPedia is modeled similarly to other online resource tools, where members of the general public with expertise contribute content around a particular topic and update as needed. Initially, we identified 100+ topics for content development, such as appraisals, disclosures, marketing and sales, processing, underwriting and servicing. And that list will continue to grow as changes occur and as topics are added, making the NRMLAPedia an increasingly valuable reverse mortgage resource. "At NRMLA we strive to be the primary resource for education related to reverse mortgages. And in that spirit, thanks to the efforts of our members, NRMLA created this new knowledge based toolthe "NRMLAPedia"as a comprehensive repository of information covering a wide range of topics covering everything from the very beginning of the origination process until the very end of the process when the loan is ultimately paid off," said Peter Bell, President of NRMLA, in his opening remarks at the association's 2008 Annual Meeting & Expo in Los Angeles. The NRMLAPedia will initially be sold to members on disks for a nominal fee. Later, the association will migrate information to its web site, NRMLAOnline.org, and the various contributors involved in the project will update information as needed.
