Direct Valuation Solutions Inc. announced its integration with Ellie Mae’s Encompass360 mortgage management solution. Lenders using Encompass360 now have seamless access to Direct Valuation Solutions’ cloud-based valuation fulfillment platform for lenders and appraisers. Ellie Mae is a leading provider of software and automation solutions for mortgage bankers, community banks, credit unions and other mortgage lenders.

Without leaving Encompass360, lenders can receive automatic status updates and access completed appraisal reports in the eFolder, Ousley said. “The proprietary DVS platform has a lot more functionality than other valuation platforms. It matches a lender’s appraiser panel with the requirements of each assignment, such as license level, designations, quality and service levels and the appraiser’s proximity to the assignment. Once the top appraisers are identified by the assignment logic, the appraisal assignment and lender’s letter of engagement is sent via text or email and loaded into those appraiser’s dashboard for acceptance. The platform also allows the appraiser to communicate with the lender on various status milestones, share questions or get responses directly from the lender, and then tracks all interaction for audit trail purposes,” Ousley said.
Every appraisal, regardless of the software used by the appraiser, is run through an extensive third-party quality control review for Uniform Appraisal Dataset and Underwriting Compliance prior to being available for lender review through the secure DVS portal. Users also can receive the DVS Underwriter Assist (UA), which includes public records data and an automated valuation on the subject property, notice of appraiser overrides of quality control errors/warnings, underwriter alerts of known, significant appraisal or property-related issues for consideration, supplemental sales and/or listing data and aerial and mapping features to assist the underwriter in appraisal review and acceptance.
