MGIC Names Sean Valcamp, VP, Chief Information Security Officer

Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation (MGIC) has announced the promotion of Steven M. Thompson to the role of executive vice president–chief risk officer

Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation (MGIC) has announced that the company has hired Sean Valcamp as Vice President–Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).
 
Valcamp comes to MGIC from Avnet Inc. of Phoenix, Ariz., where he held successive positions of increasing responsibility in the IT department. Valcamp served for more than 11 years as Avnet's Global Security Leader and was named the company's first Chief Information Security Officer in 2015.
 
Valcamp has a combined 28 years of experience in the technology industry and holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix.
 
"Sean will be a great fit in his role at MGIC," said Greg Chi, MGIC’s Senior Vice President Information Services and Chief Information Officer. "His leadership credentials and wealth of experience in Information Risk Management and governance practices make him a valuable addition to our team as we support MGIC's ongoing growth.
