Thursday's Mortgage Leadership Outlook Series To Feature Non-QM Panel

Mortgage Leadership Outlook features a special episode on Thursday, June 11 focusing on the state of non-qualified mortgage lending following the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The discussion will feature a panel of non-QM leaders, including Eloise Schmitz, CEO and co-founder of LoanNEX; Manish Valecha, CFA, head of client solutions for Angel Oak Capital; and Samuel Bjelac, SVP, wholesale and correspondent for Sprout Mortgage.
 
These three leaders will join Mortgage Leadership Outlook series host Andrew Berman, head of engagement and outreach for National Mortgage Professional magazine, as they explore how the non-QM lending space was impacted by COVID-19, how it is beginning to overcome the challenges posed by the pandemic and more.

Schmitz's LoanNEX is web-based pricing and eligibility platform for non-QM, specialty loan program decision tools. She has over 23 years of experience in corporate finance, including 11 years in corporate banking and 12 years with Charter Communications (a Fortune 500 company) where she served CFO.
 
Valecha primarily focuses on marketing, product development and institutional due diligence for Angel Oak Capital. Before joining Angel Oak, he was the head of research at Gapstow Capital Partners, a $1 billion credit-focused investment manager investing in hedge funds, private equity funds, collateralized loan obligations and community banks.
 
Bjelac has worked for some of the most well-known companies in the mortgage industry, including Flagstar Bank, Carrington Mortgage Services and CoreVest Finance, before joining Sprout Mortgage in 2018. Sprout is an investor in non-agency loans, providing products for lenders across all categories.
