Atlantic Bay's Diana Taylor Named Co-Chair Of MBA HR Group
The Atlantic Bay executive takes on a national leadership role as mortgage lenders rethink workforce strategies amid shifting industry demands
Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group Executive Vice President of People Strategy Diana Taylor has been appointed co-chair of the Mortgage Bankers Association's (MBA) HR Professionals Networking Group for a two-year term.
Taylor will serve alongside Ana LeBlanc, HR director at InterLinc Mortgage Services, helping lead a forum where mortgage banking HR executives exchange ideas on recruitment, employee retention, compensation, benefits, and regulatory developments affecting the industry's workforce.
Taylor has spent 13 years at Atlantic Bay, where she was recently promoted from executive vice president of human resources to executive vice president of people strategy.
During her tenure, she has helped guide the independent mortgage bank through organizational growth, expansion into new geographic markets, and a shift toward remote work. More than 90% of Atlantic Bay's workforce now works remotely.
The appointment comes as mortgage lenders continue to balance hiring and retention with pressure to control operating expenses.
Atlantic Bay's predominantly remote workforce also gives Taylor experience with a staffing model that presents distinct challenges for recruitment, retention, and employee engagement.
The MBA's HR Professionals Networking Group brings together human resources leaders from member institutions to discuss workforce challenges, share practices, and address emerging employment trends. The group holds quarterly webinars and meets in person during the association's annual Human Resources Symposium.
Taylor and LeBlanc succeed Emily Harvey of Flat Branch Home Loans and Jodi Bailey of Planet Home Lending as co-chairs.
