Home Advantage Brings $55.5M Team Back To West Capital
Founder Hass Beydoun cites lead-generation infrastructure in the move, bringing his Detroit team and office after funding $55.5 million over 14 months
Home Advantage Lending founder Hass Beydoun is returning to West Capital Lending with his Detroit-based team, citing access to the larger brokerage’s lead-generation infrastructure as a draw.
Beydoun joins as vice president, bringing three loan officers, an in-house processor, and the operation’s downtown Detroit office, West Capital announced Monday. The company said it plans to expand the office as part of its Midwest footprint.
Home Advantage funded $55.5 million across 157 transactions over the past 14 months, according to MMI figures cited by West Capital. Refinances accounted for $45.9 million, or approximately 83% of that dollar volume, while purchases totaled $9.6 million.
The move brings an established production team onto West Capital’s platform while giving Beydoun a larger organization’s resources to pursue growth. Financial terms and the team’s compensation arrangement were not disclosed.
Lead Access Drives The Pitch
Beydoun identified West Capital’s Lead Store as the platform feature he is most interested in using. The system provides originators with access to exclusive leads, performance metrics, and lender partnerships that reward production with lead credits.
“WCL has built an incredible system around lead generation and conversion,” Beydoun said. “It creates a unique opportunity for originators to scale their business. It’s a forward-thinking model that truly supports growth and success.”
For broker-owners evaluating a similar move, those economics determine how much additional production translates into additional income. Lead access can expand a team’s prospect pool, but the financial benefit depends on acquisition costs, conversion, compensation, and the operating expenses attached to the platform.
Home Advantage’s refinance-heavy production makes borrower acquisition and follow-up particularly relevant to its growth strategy.
Another Team Joins The Platform
The addition follows West Capital’s appointment of Michael Guazon as senior vice president of sales strategy earlier this month. The former loanDepot direct lending executive’s responsibilities include production, retention, recruiting, technology, and data.
West Capital has also been building operational capacity. In April, it added former loanDepot operations executive Debora Wilson to its leadership team.
Beydoun’s arrival gives that infrastructure another established business to support, along with a downtown Detroit location the company intends to grow.
“Hass has proven he can both produce and lead,” said Giorgio Bertuol, West Capital’s president of sales. “Putting his team on the Lead Store and the rest of our platform gives his originators more room to scale, and gives us a stronger base in downtown Detroit.”
According to West Capital, Beydoun began his career at Quicken Loans, now Rocket Mortgage, in 2013. He later worked at loanDepot and spent six years at Mortgage Center, advancing from loan originator to assistant vice president of sales.
He founded Home Advantage in June 2023 and previously worked at West Capital.
“We have a lean but highly effective team, and every one of them is exceptional at what they do,” Beydoun said. “We look forward to growing and building on our downtown Detroit headquarters as part of the West Capital family.”
