MBA's Lisa J. Haynes Retires
The SVP, Chief Financial Officer and Diversity and Inclusion Officer retired after 10 years at the association.
Lisa J. Haynes is officially retired after a 10-year tenure at the Mortgage Bankers Association, the former Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer confirmed in a LinkedIn post.
Although Haynes shared her open position on LinkedIn three months ago, her retirement went into effect on September 30. MBA confirmed that Haynes retired, but declined to share a statement or information about Haynes' replacement.
Before her tenure at the MBA, she held several roles at Fannie Mae, including Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis, Vice President of Finance Transformation, and Vice President of Operational Accounting. In these positions, she managed a team of 45 professionals overseeing the administration of approximately $3 trillion in single-family and multifamily loans.
Prior to her time at Fannie Mae, Haynes founded and expanded her own financial consulting practice in Massachusetts, focusing on services for nonprofits and small businesses. She also served as Senior Associate Controller and Director at John Hancock Financial Services, Inc. in Boston, where she led the SEC and Management Reporting team during the company’s landmark demutualization in 2000.
Haynes earned her Master of Business Administration from Boston University’s Graduate School of Management and her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bentley College. She is also a certified public accountant in Virginia.
