Palantir Moder Launch AI Mortgage Platform

New platform leverages AI to streamline mortgage processes

Palantir Technologies Inc. and Moder announced a strategic partnership to co-build an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered mortgage operations platform. Freedom Mortgage will serve as the first pilot customer for this new platform. This collaboration integrates Palantir’s data and AI capabilities with Moder’s mortgage domain expertise to enhance lending operations. The platform aims to improve affordability, lower borrowing costs, and expand access to homeownership for consumers.

The co-built platform utilizes Palantir’s Ontology to establish an agentic AI framework. This framework integrates with existing systems of record, translating guidelines and operational policies into configurable, testable, and auditable rules. This enables teams to execute critical processes with greater precision and scalability. Early deployments at Freedom Mortgage have already implemented several key processes, demonstrating improved speed and accuracy for operating agents and homeowners.

Michael Middleman, chair of Moder, said this partnership will reshape the mortgage industry. Erik Anderson, Moder president and chief executive officer, added that combining Moder’s industry expertise with Palantir's AI capabilities yields measurable results in enhancing the homeownership experience and improving efficiency for mortgage servicers. This technology is expected to accelerate the delivery of customized and automated solutions to clients across multiple industries.

Mike Patterson, senior executive vice president and chief operating officer at Freedom Mortgage, expressed enthusiasm for the impact of this partnership on their operations. He noted it will improve the speed and ease of servicing customers nationwide. Elias Davis, office of the CEO at Palantir, highlighted the platform's ability to unify data across the full mortgage cycle and orchestrate governed AI workflows end-to-end. This allows the platform to serve more homeowners more efficiently and accurately through Palantir’s Ontology.

This initiative follows previous efforts to integrate advanced technology into mortgage operations. In 2025, Fannie Mae partnered with Palantir to combat fraud, demonstrating a broader industry trend toward AI adoption. Similarly, Better utilized Palantir to launch its Tinman Marketplace in 2022, illustrating AI's potential to transform mortgage processes. For mortgage professionals, this platform offers a pathway to optimized workflows, reduced operational costs, and potentially increased loan volume through faster, more accurate processing.
